TunerKit ("the App", "we") is committed to protecting your privacy and complies with applicable laws. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how long it is retained.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

Anonymous User ID: Generated via Firebase Anonymous Authentication and used for app statistics and usage analytics.
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and app version (for error reporting).
Crash & Error Logs: Collected via Firebase Crashlytics and used to improve app stability.
App Usage Statistics: Screen views and feature usage events via Firebase Analytics.

2. Microphone Permission

The tuner feature requires access to your device's microphone to detect pitch in real time. Audio data is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server. The microphone is used only while a tuning session is active.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the tuner and chord dictionary features
To identify and fix bugs through crash reports
To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the user experience

4. Advertising

TunerKit displays banner ads powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may use contextual signals (such as app category) to serve relevant ads. Behavior-based (interest-based) advertising is not enabled. No personal information collected by us is provided to advertisers.

5. Third-Party Services

Firebase Analytics (Google): Usage analytics and event tracking
Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Crash and error reporting
Google AdMob: Banner advertising

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Data Retention

Anonymous user IDs and analytics data are retained for up to 1 year. Crash logs follow Firebase's standard retention policy. Local app data (such as favorites) is stored on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

7. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties beyond the services listed above.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Since data is tied to an anonymous ID, uninstalling the app effectively removes all locally stored data. For removal of analytics data, please contact us at the address below.

9. Children's Privacy

TunerKit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
